Citytv Acquires The Marriage Ref
Rogers Media acquires 'The Marriage Ref'
Canadian broadcaster Rogers Media has placed another bet on a Thursday night NBC comedy series by acquiring the Jerry Seinfeld-produced reality show "The Marriage Ref" from Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
Rogers' Citytv-branded TV stations already air NBC's "Community" at 8 p.m., "Parks and Recreation" at 8:30 p.m. and a double-shot of "30 Rock" at 9 p.m.
But the hole left by Rogers losing NBC's Jay Leno talker at 10 p.m. had Citytv scheduling another episode of CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" at 10 p.m. after a first airdate on Monday nights at 8 p.m.
Now, from March 4, Citytv will air Seinfeld's reality TV series take on marriage after the honeymoon is over, with Tony Papa as the "marriage ref."
