This is something both Bell & Shaw Direct have refused to do. In additon to not having the right to negotiate a value for their signal, no satellite carriage is a major reason why small market local stations are hurting big time, if you notice all the stations that have shut down so far all don't have satellite carriage (CHCA, CKX, CKNX) it's hard to do well when 50% of your viewers can't even watch you.
Oh well, let's mandate that all local stations be carried on satellite then, rather than giving them a fee for carriage. I bet TVViewer will be just fine with that idea then, right?
