Agree to disagree

I would like to post my concern about the recent hatred between some members I've seen in the last few months.

I know we all take discussion about simsub, local tv, cancon and other TV-related debates to heart and while argumenting is good and the reason why forums like this one exists, it comes a point where it is better to agree to disagree and move on. From wikipedia, the definition of "agree to disagree" reads as follow:

Quote:
Agree to disagree or "agreeing to disagree" is a phrase in English referring to the resolution of a conflict (usually a debate or quarrel) whereby all parties tolerate but do not accept the opposing position(s). It generally occurs when all sides recognise that further conflict is unnecessary, ineffective or otherwise undesirable. They may also remain on amicable terms while continuing to disagree.
I'd like to call on all members to think about this when they're about to insult another member or even when you're getting tired of arguing with someone who you think will never change his/her mind whatever you say to this person.

I look forward to reading exciting debates of our unique tv landscape done in a respectful and friendly environment.

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss this further.

Best,
Randi
